TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General Policy including Changes and Cancellations

The dates and times of classes are published prior to the start of term; however, these are subject to alteration due to unforeseen circumstances and students will be informed of any such changes in advance wherever possible.

In the event of unsuitable weather or other circumstances beyond our control, classes are subject to change. All details will be posted in our Facebook group and relevant classes notified by e mail.

Dance Inspired should be notified in advance if your child is not attending a class so that we may plan accordingly and keep our records up to date. No refunds will be given for missed classes.

Dance Inspired reserves the right to change teachers at short notice as and when necessary.

Dance Inspired reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient demand. In this case a full refund will be given.

Pupils are allocated to class based on age however this can be reviewed by the dance teacher.

Dance Inspired off a 2 week trial for new joiners at a nominal charge. This will then be deducted from the term’s fee should the pupil wish to register for the school.

Fees

 Fees will be reviewed annually and if subject to change parents will be given a terms notice.

 All fees MUST be received within 2 weeks of the start of term (exact date will be on your invoice).  All late payments will incur a £5.00 charge.

 Offers/discounts given are only applicable for students booking onto and paying for a full term. All discounts are subject to withdrawal at any time.

 All current students are expected to pay for a full term.  Please note, you are deemed to be a current student if you attended the previous term and will automatically be rebooked onto your class(es) for the next term unless we are informed otherwise.

 Half a terms notice must be given to withdraw from classes by email, otherwise a payment for the notice period will be charged.

 Dance Inspired accepts new students throughout the term. Fees will be pro-rata from the first class attended.

 If paying by cash, this should be placed in a named envelope with details of the payment and classes it relates to.

 In extenuating circumstances refunds are up to the Principal’s discretion.

Behavioural Standards and Exclusions

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner whilst attending classes and be respectful to both teachers and fellow students at all times. This will ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone.

If children continue to misbehave, causing disruption to other students, the parent or guardian will be informed and the student will no longer be able to continue with classes.

These terms and conditions also apply to any workshops, performance or events that the student takes part in with Dance Inspired.

When using social media all students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately and sensibly.

Health and Safety

It is your responsibility to inform Dance Inspired if your child has any medical conditions and/or allergies, special needs or learning disabilities which could affect them during class.

Agreeing to attend a class is a declaration of your fitness.

When a child falls ill during class, and we think necessary, their parent or guardian will be called to take the child home and you agree to collect your child without delay.

COVID-19

Dance Inspired will adhere to the Government guidelines of the time. This is on the understanding that these rules are fluid and changes will be made with the best interest of all students and the dance school at the center. In the event of a localised lockdown, classes will go online with the current timetable.

You agree that is your child is unwell even with a mild cough or fever they should stay at home and not be permitted onto the dance premises until they have received a negative PCR test. Any pupil showing symptoms or feeling well should inform their dance teacher immediately. The student will be isolated and appropriate action taken.

 In extenuating circumstances refunds are up to the Principal’s discretion.

Emergency First Aid

First Aid will be administered to children in the event of an accident whilst in our care. If the accident is serious and we feel the need the emergency services will be called.

EpiPen Guidelines

Dance Inspired staff are not qualified to administer EpiPen.  They are permitted to do so with written permission and instruction from the parent/guardian but the parent/guardian must accept full responsibility.

Medical Conditions and Allergies.

All medical conditions and allergies must be stated on the registration form along with any relevant background information that may be required for a student attending a dance class.

Parents must notify us of any changes going forward.

Safeguarding.

Dance Inspired staff have a duty of care to act if they suspect a child may be suffering from abuse or if a child makes a disclosure about abuse. In such an event the staff will follow the Safeguarding Children Policy. All staff have DBS checks in place.

Discrimination

Dance Inspired is a non-discriminatory dance school. Any cases arising will be dealt with appropriately.

Physical Contact

Parents should be aware that due to the nature of dance it is necessary for the teacher to use physical contact when training young dancers.

Contact by the teacher will be made to assist the student with correct placement and done with due sensitivity and care. This will not involve force. Teachers will be mindful of the location and avoid situations where they are isolated with a student.

Liability

All teachers are fully qualified, DBS checked and insured and are fully aware of our child protection policy (available on request).

Dance Inspired is not liable for loss or damage to property, sickness or personal injury.

All valuables remain the responsibility of the student.

Responsibility

Children under 11 years old are not allowed to leave the premises unless accompanied by an adult. We expect that children aged 12+ will leave the class unaccompanied, no longer becoming the responsibility of the teacher in charge, unless we are notified otherwise.

Parents are not permitted to watch or film dance classes without permission.

Insurance

Our Public Liability Insurance covers all children under our care.

Data Protection (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR)

By enrolling into Dance Inspired, the data that you provide via the website will be subject to the GDPR restrictions. Further details regarding this can be found within our separate Privacy Policy.

Performing

Dance Inspired offers regular performance opportunities for our Junior and Senior Dance Crews. Entry to these are by audition only. Terms and Conditions regarding crews are made available via letter sent out each year.

All students are given the opportunity to perform at our biennial dance show. If a student wishes to still attend class and not take up the opportunity to perform they will still be accommodated within the class time.

Complaints

If you or your child are not satisfied with the service provided we would like to hear about it. We aim to resolve any issues at an early stage. All complaints will be taken seriously and in the strictest confidence.
